Six AM is my sacred hour these days. Even when I haven’t gotten a full night’s sleep, I get up and I do my thing and the day begins from a place of calm, which helps me maintain diplomacy around corporate tightwads (pot meet kettle, etc.). I’ve learned little tricks that stretch the morning into something slower and sweeter. For example, I used to hop out of bed and immediately brush my teeth and put contacts in. Now I know to fire up the coffee maker first. By the time I’m done in the bathroom, it’s brewed and ready to go. Those extra five minutes are molasses.
I saw the title in my email and really prayed you did not have a picture of one in here. Deathly afraid of them - even the emoji makes my skin crawl. Desperately hoping my son is as fearless and loving as Andrew.
My partner does the same thing! I’ll see a huge spider in the corner of the ceiling and he’ll be like “hey he just lives there don’t bother him” and frankly he’s right! That spider is just a lost little guy!!
Josie B just dropped a cockroach makeover ASMR on tiktok & YouTube, and I can’t help but wonder if you noticed whether or not the lips of the dude on your counter were lined to perfection?

I'm convinced there was a massive convention somewhere last week. Invertebrate-Con, or some such (I dunno. It's early, and I haven't slept enough this week.) And now all these bugs have dispersed into the world full armed with fairy dust and motivational speeches. Thanks to Marc Typo for bringing me here. Loved, loved, loved this.
Only someone who has seen the dark side of being human can genuinely appreciate the small moments like this. This was such a beautiful sentiment, especially a week before your wedding.
