I also took a break from the internet and it was everything I needed. Because I’m an elder Millennial, I very much remember a time when we didn’t live any of our lives online, so taking regular breaks is imperative for my sanity/attention/creativity. Makes my brain work better.
That dilly bean stew tho! Anything with sour cream…I’m in!!! ❤️🔥
MISSED YOU LOVE ❤️❤️❤️ and couldn’t agree more- I truly think it’s knowing life offline for so many years reminds me the importance of that time away. Blessings of aging :)
I missed your beautiful genius but I'm glad you took time off, Bebe...
Also, I'm reminded of the years I insisted on buying heels for the office only to wear them for 30 second stretches and then never again. In the last five years I have made piece with my inner comfort-freak. The heels have all been donated or are sitting in the back of my closet, rotting.
Is the stew that good? I guess I should look it up.
it’s so funny like, pre-pregnancy, I NEVER wore heels or tight clothing. And now that I can’t wear either without being miserable, I keep trying to??? And for what???!!! 😂 Andrew always says I’m a contrarian who does things specifically because I can’t or am not supposed to, so this kind of checks out.
Stew is SOOO good if you’re a big dill person which I am. Highly recommend adding sour cream which is kinda the bonus part of her recipe … 😏
I’m so glad you got away because wow it makes me realize how I’ve missed you. I also missed the email so thank god for notes kicking it back into my desiccated eyeballs.
The sacroiliac pain is real 😭 I am also in the middle of a pregnancy that rapidly sent me from getting exercise 6 days a week to lying flat on the couch after sitting in a chair for 30 minutes because of screaming pain, over the course of two weeks. I started seeing a pelvic floor physio who is a goddamn miracle worker and reduced my pain to mild levels. Truly, modern medicine is magical.
Also, I fully completely understand the desire to grasp onto the things that make you feel stylish and beautiful when your entire body is freaking out over growing a baby. I've even started wearing actual makeup almost every day (after years of nothing beyond tinted moisturizer except for special occasions) because it makes me feel put together and polished, even though my whole body aches and is rebelling against the need to function normally. Heels are appealing for the same reason but they would utterly destroy me, so I have resisted the urge to wear them.
Glad it's all going well. The day you transcend beyond wanting some image beyond the grit of Central PA you will be free. We have more class and good manners than most. Know.what to do in so many emergency situations and know.how to survive on nothing.
As for mommy hood. You will thrive. Shitty mom's make us stronger. Different. And in spite of Jamie's flaws I hope you know at this stage of life no one can love you like she does.
I have a lot to say on this topic. I have been a fan of Garmins for years. I used Garmin GPS in Iraq on foot patrols. I really like Garmin. I had been waiting to make this purchase for a few years. I was super excited to have a watch that would have excellent GPS, simple interface, and support music so I wouldn’t have to carry my phone. TRASH! TRASH TRASH TRASH! The music connection was crap, kept stalling, slowing, pausing, and crashing out. The interface was illogical and complicated. The Garmin support apps are a confusing combination of one website and two different applications just to set up the damn watch. I was super disappointed. It felt like Garmin could have spent the time and money to overhaul all the support into one cohesive app where you manage everything but instead opted to use plugins and patches and made usability infinitely harder. I bought someone’s 2 year old apple watch (which I didn’t want to do btw) for half the price and am incredibly pleased with it. I hate to admit it but Apple’s integration and interface and music broadcasting from the watch is much better.
This is sooo interesting because I switched from Apple Watch to Garmin and never looked back! But I will say I didn’t get the music Garmin, and having the music component of the Apple Watch + messaging and all that was kind of fire haha.
In your honor I will have that Modelo six pack, my favorite
I was in fucking tears over your gift guide, especially after the last one I read included a fucking hair clip that was $238

Contrarians unite! I hated Leo DiCaprio in his heyday (this is before your time lil sis 😂) specifically because everyone else loved him ...
Ok I'm looking for more vegetarian dishes so a life changing stew is perfect...
