Daily Drip (open for lube & a playlist!)
Daily Drips highlight what I'm up to + into on any given day.
Quote of the Week: “I was no longer needing to be special, because I was no longer so caught in my puny separateness that had to keep proving I was something. I was part of the universe, like a tree is, or like grass is, or like water is. Like storms, like roses. I was just part of it all.”― Ram Dass, Changing Lenses
Listening to: My 2020 Exit playlist. Enjoy 1 hour and 3 minutes of cinematic bangers, TikTok simulation beats, and anthems from the doom-hope axis as we crawl through the season finale of the Weirdest Year Ever. **Warning: existential crises may occur.
Eating: The greatest salad in existence, aka the Crispy Rice Bowl from Sweetgreen. The other day someone sent me a shaming DM about eating a salad from a chain during the pandemic when small businesses are struggling to survive. This was a fascinating jab, as you never know the circumstances that drive people’s food choices. Personally, I don’t take the bait when people send me patronizing bullshit, but I figured it was worth sharing with my newsletter gang because if nothing else, it is good comedy.
Currently Reading: Three Women by Lisa Taddeo.
Feeling: Much better today after a two-day hormone spiral.
Loving: This all natural, free-of-trash, affordable lube + massage oil from Era Organics. I have to credit my boyfriend here. He bought a massage oil a few months ago that was full of chemicals/labeled “external use only” that we ended up tossing, but surprised me with this one yesterday and it is excellent. Highly recommend for anyone else with an oil fetish. (If that’s TMI for you, I don’t know how you got here. Also grow up.)
