Quote of the Week: “You live most of your life in your head. Make sure it’s a nice place to be.”
Eating: Just finished a big ol’ stir fry from Honeygrow. I feel really run down this evening so the idea of cooking was daunting. I do the build your own with rice noodles, broccoli, green beans, mushrooms, bell peppers, ground turkey, and sesame garlic sauce.
Loving: Two truly incredible pieces I just snagged from DBLMJR. Gianna makes high quality t-shirts and crewnecks with classic art printed in gorgeous colorways. Unisex designs? Made here in Philly? Show off your inner art heaux? Don’t sleep on ‘em.
Grateful for: Exercise, which is funny because I haven’t worked out since… Friday? I’ve been super depressed lately because pandemic + winter + the full weight of the human condition, and it’s actually grounding to remember a workout changes my entire day, even when I’ve failed to get it in. I’m going to make sure I fight through the dread and sweat the rest of the week.
Just Purchased: A little desktop dry erase board to help stay organized. Lately I’ve been overwhelmed with how much I have going on. Between my full time job, writing this newsletter, freelance clients, Italian class, running, reading, a new puppy, my partner, friends, and family, I literally don’t know which way is up. I know in my heart I can do it all, but the challenge of prioritization makes me want to say “fuck this shit” and drink wine in the fetal position until spring. If the dry erase board gives even the illusion of structure, it’s $20 well spent.
Hold fast the sun will stay longer and longer and days will warm. As for doing all the things...we all have 24 hours. Do the things. Check off the list. Tomorrow keep going. It is all good.
